How it All Began

At Mountain Disposal, we have been family-owned and operated since 1989. What started with Jim’s dad, Willard Klipfel, a single trash truck, and a pickup has grown into a trusted waste removal company serving much of rural Pueblo, Huerfano, and Custer County, as well as the San Luis Valley.

In 1994, Jim and Lisa Klipfel joined Willard in the business. Later, they purchased the company and continued serving their hometown of Colorado City and the surrounding rural communities. Today, we are proud to have a growing team and an expanded service area, but our values have never changed. We focus on friendly, reliable, quality service every single day.

Weekly Residential Curbside Pickup

Our weekly curbside tote service is designed specifically for households, rural or otherwise. We provide 95-gallon mobile trash containers and collect bagged and tied household trash on a weekly schedule.

We are committed to reliability. Residential routes run as scheduled, even on holidays, unless you hear otherwise from us.

Our goal is simple. We want to make waste management for Southern Colorado easy and dependable for the families we serve.

Residential and Commercial Dumpster Service

For customers who need something larger than curbside service, we offer 2-yard and 3-yard dumpster rentals. These are ideal for homes and businesses with a steady, mid-range trash flow.

Depending on your location, we offer flexible pickup schedules:

• Twice per week
• Weekly
• Every other week
• Monthly

We work closely with both residential and commercial customers to find the right size and pickup frequency for their dumpster rental needs.

Residential and Commercial Roll Off Containers

Our roll off dumpsters are a great solution for larger cleanup projects. Whether you are tackling construction, remodeling, demolition, or a major property cleanup, we have options to fit your project.

We offer two roll off sizes:

• 12 yard container, which measure 12 ft x 8 ft x 4 ft
• 30 yard container, measuring 24 ft x 8 ft x 6 ft

All roll off rentals include a delivery fee and an empty fee. We provide free estimates before purchase. Standard rentals are for a two-week timeframe, with the option to keep the container longer if needed. Additional day charges may apply.

Many homeowners use our roll offs for yard waste such as pine needles, dirt, and leaves. Contractors rely on them for construction debris and renovation projects.

Portable Toilet Rentals for Jobsites, Events, and Weddings

We are proud to provide clean, well maintained portable toilets for everything from construction sites to weddings and large festivals. We offer six different unit types so we can serve a wide range of needs.

Standard and Wheelchair Accessible Units

Ideal for construction job sites and general use. Automatic lights are available upon request. Wheelchair accessible units are limited, so early reservations are recommended.

Pink Ladies Units

Designed specifically for women and does not include a urinal. Automatic lights are available upon request. These units are limited and should be reserved early.

Toilet on a Trailer

Standard units mounted on a trailer that can move with your job site. This option is perfect for remote or hard to access locations. You can pick up and haul these units yourself if you are outside our service area. Automatic lights are available upon request.

Family Units

Wheelchair accessible and equipped with a changing table and automatic lights. These units are limited and should be reserved early.

Wedding Units

Wheelchair accessible units that include a wash sink, mirror, automatic lights, and flushable toilets. Perfect for elegant outdoor events. Early reservations are recommended.

Wash Stands

Available in both small and large sizes to complement any event or job site.

Special Events Packages

We love supporting community events, and we make it easy by offering combined service packages for special occasions, festivals, school events, and large gatherings.

Depending on your needs, our special event services can include:

• 95 gallon trash totes
• 2- or 3-yard dumpsters
• Portable toilets
• Washstand units

For large festivals and community events, we can provide large banks of toilets to accommodate bigger crowds. We will work with you to determine how many containers and units you need to keep your event clean and running smoothly. There are a few factors to consider when determining how many portable toilets an event will need. We will ask you the right questions so that you have enough portable toilets. No one enjoys long lines for the bathroom!

More Than a Waste Management Company

Mountain Disposal is more than a trash removal company. We are part of the fabric of these communities.

We live and work here. So we know the importance of donations, partnerships, and sponsorships of various local school activities and athletics. Coaching and supporting the local youth sports teams has especially been a favorite of Jim Klipfel’s over the years.

 

Business is about people. It’s about the next generation of kids being raised in our Southern Colorado communities. We have worked with schools, parents, and other volunteers to create better baseball fields. Supporting high school sports of every kind in the valley has also been high on our priority list. And we know it’s not just about athletes. Agriculture is a huge part of life in the valley. This makes us a huge supporter of Future Farmers of America (FFA) and local 4-H groups in our communities.
